Search for a hawk by its name:

Click on the link above. Then enter at least the first three letters of a hawk’s name into the search box, and click on the “Search Now” button. Find the hawk of interest among the search results, and click on the desired option, such as “Pedigree.” Duplicated ancestors are color-coded, and a crimson rectangle denotes a known carrier of the recessive hypopigment gene.


Search for a hawk by its band number:

Using the link above, under “Field to Search” select “RegNo” and type the hawk’s band number into the search string box. Then click on the “Search Now” button. Find the hawk of interest among the search results, and click on the desired option, such as “Pedigree.”


Perform a trial mating:

The duplicated ancestors in the offspring’s pedigree will be color-coded. Using the link above, click on “Trial Mating”. On the next screen, leave the name and sex fields as is. Type in the name of the sire and click on the … button. Type in the name of the dam and click on the … button. Then click on “Create trial mating.”


What is your hawk’s hatch date?

When no hatch date is available, the default hatch date is January 1 of the hatch year.
